Welcome~ Kathy’s Corner provides licensed after-school care in Sherwood, Oregon for students attending Ridges Elementary School. I am a recently retired teacher, now owner of Kathy’s Corner. My passion is working with kids, and my new adventure is providing a quality after-school program dedicated to meeting the individual needs of a few great kids. I thrive on excellence; as a former athlete, teacher, and coach, it is at my core. If you’re looking for something different, keep reading.
Who Are We?
At Kathy’s Corner, children are cared for in a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment where they can relax, learn, and feel confident after school. In our small, mixed-age community, children build friendships across grade levels. Older kids become mentors, younger kids gain confidence, and everyone learns what it means to care for one another.
With over 30 years experience in education, Kathy’s Corner provides consistent routines, small group care, and a warm atmosphere that helps children thrive socially and emotionally.

- Safe transportation after school from Ridges Elementary to our home
- Healthy snack, homework time/support, structured activities, free play, personalized care

- Unlike large programs where children stay with only their own grade, kids in Pre-K through 5th grade at Kathy’s Corner laugh, play, learn, and grow together.
